Students speak out

NYU-Poly “is an academically sound school, and only people who really know what they are doing get degrees from this place, at least in the technical programs. Also, the school is really trying its best to keep up with the marketplace, adding some classes and majors to help reflect trends in the industry”.

“ Polytechnic Institute of NYU is a well-established, competitive university. My academic experience at this school had given me the incentive that you can always try harder, and the harder you try, the more you can achieve”.

In New York City, “there are more than enough places to have some fun”. The school’s location, in Brooklyn’s downtown MetroTech complex, is within walking distance of Brooklyn Heights, home to many fine shops, restaurants, and a waterfront promenade. The Brooklyn Bridge is less than a mile from campus, meaning a mere 15-minute stroll leads students to great neighborhoods like Little Italy and Chinatown in lower Manhattan.

NYU-Poly students are “extremely diverse in race, culture, and nationality and everyone is very accepting of other cultures and ethnicities” As one student put it, “ I mean, we’re in Brooklyn, NYC. Of course it’s a pretty diverse group, and everyone tends to respect one another. It’s the NYU-Poly philosophy…”
